I am not going to hide behind the notion of “They Said”. I believe this too. The Feds behavior is super concerning. I believe they are not being prudent about the interest rate hikes. The United States is running fast towards a recession. What’s sad about it is that it can be avoided or be pushed into a direction of a softer landing at least. The politics of financial policy has not kicked in yet, but we will have only us to blame. Even the United Nations agencies who generally stay out of subjective economic matters is warning that if we do not be prudent with our monetary policy, we could be inducing not just a US recession but may catalyze it making it global recession. This will particularly impact economies in Asia which will only slowdown the subsequent recovery. Long Story short, I want the Fed to stop making anymore interest rate hikes because the market has got numb to it and its not controlling inflation
