iPhone manufacturing may sneak out of China to neighboring India

Ouch, That really hurts,

Foxconn who makes majority of the iPhone’s, is planning to spread it manufacturing for the first time out of China. The plan is to invest around $700 million  in India to build a new plant in India’s Karnataka state.

I want readers to understand the significance of it. At a time when products made out of China were assumed to be of lower quality, it was Apples iPhone Manufacturing that provided legitimacy to China. This opened an era moving of American manufacturing to China. So this move will have a far higher impact on how outsourcers look at China

India, Bangladesh and Vietnam can emerge as alternatives to China’s leadership in the manufacturing sector.
